Lyrics:
This I IV chord progression has been pretty good to me.
And I don't care what they may say about mediocrity.
I may not be the best but I am certainly not the worst.
I can row a boat and I can run a mile though I may not come in first.

I do all my own laundry and I fold all my clothes.
Sometimes I might sleep all day if that's just the way it goes.
But that don't make me lazy, don't make me nothing but a man.
Anyway I don't trust anybody who doesn't even try to dance.

But someday I might see those northern lights.
Someday I might make tiramisu.
Someday I might even own a house.
Someday I might be good enough for you.

I've got a loving family and friends who treat me right.
But oftentimes I'm happiest when I'm alone at night.
And I'm walking down the middle, the middle of the road.
And it might not be a very straight line but still I'm walking home.

You would make my house a home, if you'd be so kind.
I always felt that being home was a state of mind.
